Recent accomplishments:

• Worked to rewrite Waterbury ordinances and create the Waterbury Litter & Beautification Commission.
• Protected the integrity of our neighborhoods from overdevelopment
• Annually place the American flag on lamp posts throughout the downtown
• Sponsored City Mayoral debates
• Sponsored Yellow Ribbon campaign in Downtown Waterbury
• Sponsored and advocated for public forums on important issues in Waterbury
• Advocate for a Conservation Commission and Open Space

Each Year the WNC holds an awards dinner bringing the community together for an evening to honor our outstanding citizens. The following are our 2009 awardees:
