There is a feeling of frustration among many of the citizens of Waterbury who have struggled to find answers and hope to the challenges we are facing. Many people feel as though their voices and desires aren’t being heard by our elected officials. 1000 Friends of Waterbury can help clear away that frustration and raise the volume of our opinions and desires so that we can be heard.
1000 friends sponsored by the Waterbury Neighborhood Council is a movement of concerned citizens dedicated to education and advocacy in an effort to improve the quality of life in Waterbury and enhance our community and economic development. This network can help facilitate communication between community members with regard to current issues in our city. Research shows that this type of communication can be very effective in keeping citizens informed and in enacting change. The main purpose of 1000 Friends of Waterbury is to provide a means to express a vision of hope for Waterbury and to contribute to the initiative to make Waterbury a better place to live.
We will keep you informed on issues in Waterbury that matter to you while giving you opportunity to take part in advocacy through email, phone calls, events and forums.
